LEEBERT BEAR ADVERTISING LEATHER SHEET, IMPRINTED WITH THE BEAR, OTHER FACTS.

Description

This listing is for an interesting advertising piece from LEEBERT BEAR, a UK firm engaged in the production of leather products including purses, wallets and other accessories, apparently since 1978. I'm not quite sure how this piece was used, but it is a .025" thick piece of embossed leather measuring 8" x 6-3/4." The leather is pliable, but rigid enough to maintain its shape when held up by a corner.  The embossed leather is colored in a black background and has colors of red. tan and a green bow tie to complete the design.  At top left is British flag , LEEBERT BEAR and the date ANNO 2000, UK DESIGN IN LEATHER. The central portion contains LEEBERT himself. The lower portion identifies the originator, NORBERT R. HAUSSER, UK, and also Leebert Legend Since 1978. Aslo seen on the bear and again at lower right is a logo of conjoined letters, probably initials of the originator. On the reverse, the piece is hand signed, I believe the same aforementioned logo, but more complicated and Leebert all in black magic marker.
